Our volunteer staff performs daily tasks specific to operating the Community Boutique successfully.
The minimum age for volunteering at Servant’s Heart is 14 years old.
Volunteer Shifts:
Monday thru Saturday
9:45am–1:30pm
1:30pm–5:00pm
Volunteers help with:
Donation Receivables
Shift is 9:45AM-1:45PM
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
Working mainly outside with donors; must be friendly and helpful and willing to handle donations respectfully. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Working outside year-round in various types of weather. Standing, walking, bending for 4-hour shift.
Sorting and Pricing
Shifts are 9:45am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:00pm
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Examining, cleaning and pricing donations.
Stocking shelves and racks on sales floor.
Cleaning shelves and racks as needed.
Requires lifting up to 20 pounds. Standing, walking, bending for 3.5-hour shift.
Retail Floor
Shifts are 9:45am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:00pm
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Placing items on display, assisting customers, maintaining dressing room.
Friendly, outgoing and organized. Standing, walking, bending for 3.5-hour shift.
eBay Specialist
Shifts are 9:45am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:00pm
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
1 Shift per Week. Computer literacy and experience buying and/or selling on eBay are required for this volunteer position. Tasks involve researching items to determine value, taking high quality photographs of items to be listed, listing the items, promptly communicating with potential buyer’s offers or posing questions and finally packing sold items with care so they arrive in good condition to the buyer.
Mostly a desk volunteer position, with occasional need to lift between 10 – 30 lbs.
The shifts for eBay are flexible.
Must possess computer skills and have experience listing and selling on eBay.
Cashier
Shifts are 9:45am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:00pm
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Commitment to one shift per week/biweekly.
Excellent customer service skills, able to operate a computerized POS system.
Able to lift up to 15 lbs. Bag sold merchandise with care. Light cleaning and restocking as time allows. Standing, walking, bending for 3.5-hour shift.
Special Projects
Shifts are 9:45am-1:30pm or 1:30pm-5:00pm

Volunteers Needed for Special Projects! Volunteers
“on call” for donation pick-ups and or special clean-up/repairs at Servant’s Heart when needed.
Requirements vary according to task at hand. There is no set schedule.
