The minimum age for volunteering at Servant’s Heart is 14 years old.

Our volunteer staff performs daily tasks specific to operating our Assistance Programs successfully.

Volunteer Shifts:

Monday thru Thursday
10:00am–1:00pm
1:00pm–4:00pm

Assistance Program Shift Details:

Working mainly in the pantry; must be friendly and helpful and willing to handle donations respectfully.
Examining and stocking donations. Assisting clients with their selections and packing orders. Cleaning shelves and tidying work area.

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending for 3-hour shift.

Back2School

Our Back2School Program provides new school supplies for students so they can start the year prepared for success. Volunteers sort and organize school supplies, fill book bags, and distribute filled book bags and classroom supplies to our Mint Hill schools.

Turkey Tuesday

Our Turkey Tuesday program occurs on the Tuesday right before Thanksgiving. This program provides fixings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner to qualified families. Volunteers assists with distribution of Thanksgiving food items and escorting our clients during their appointment at Servant’s Heart.

Christmas Assistance

Volunteers sort and organize toys for display, wrap gifts, and assist clients throughout their “shopping” experience.
